@mjwchapman yeah cos he'd just gone 12 rds with a monster in AJ. He deserves a few months out. What's so important about November/December anyway? The voluntary stage means they could fight in February. Why can't the Gypsy King wait for that? Do you honestly think he'll be ready for Feb if he fights AJ in December

Both true gentlemen. Congrats to both on a hell of a fight. It will be fascinating to see how far Joyce can go. Something tells me he will have a tune up against Christie while the dust settles in the rest of the division.

  • T B

He snatches souls this bloke. Keeps walking forward like the Mummy or Michael Myers... you hit him with your best and he doesn't flinch. You start gassing and panicking as you get smothered. Parker showed how tough he is tonight because by round 3 I could see the pressure taking it's toll and he kept going even with the realisation that he probably wasn't going to deter Joyce. Joyce is supernatural. Both truly earned their wages tonight.

*Absolute animal. He took enormous right hands flush and came back with even stronger punches himself. He looks unmarked and looked like he could go another 10 rounds. He’d give Wilder, AJ and Fury big trouble.*

    • Lil Baigs
      Lil Baigs 2 months ago

@Geraldine Alannah Parker was winning on scorecards??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.. You know... these days..you can actually see the official scorecard online. Joyce was winning upto 6 ... and by round 6 Parker had only won 2 rounds. Parker won a total of 3 rounds the whole fight. Joyce dominated and dictated the pace.
Joyce will do the same to Fury... he will put the same pressure on.. we all know Joyce engine is crazy... and Joyce wont give Fury breathing space...hes too relentless.. Fury also doesnt have power shots...hes one of the softest punchers out there ... we saw that when it took him from Round 7 upto 11 to get Wilder out while through those rounds Wilder was a walking punchbag...so Joyce will just eat up Furys soft punches.. we know that..cos Parker hits harder than Fury and Joyce didnt flinch at all...came out the fight unmarked... we know Joyce has thicker bone density than an average male...so hes got that gift. Then the final thing is where you claiming Fury will lean on Joyce.. 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 ... Joyce is 19 stone...6ft 7... Fury IS NOT GONA lean on Joyce and get success loool.
      Joyce KOs Fury... EASY!

    • Geraldine Alannah
      Geraldine Alannah 2 months ago

@Lil Baigs I mean dude... Parker was winning on the scorecards until round six and Joyce was taking a lot of punishment. Parker gassed out and Joyce would not stop putting pressure on him. If you really think that Fury is going to gas out, you're mad. I don't think that Joyce will have an answer when Fury starts to do his dirty boxing, his leaning and measuring and all that mean stuff.

    • Geraldine Alannah
      Geraldine Alannah 2 months ago

@Lil Baigs You know that Fury is bigger, has more reach, is faster, technically more sound and his boxing style was about slipping punches and winning on scorecards. Joyce is really strong and has great stamina, but except for strenght he literally has no advantage and I'd say that both Wladimir and Wilder both have even stronger punches and both of them could not knock Fury out.

    • Craig
      Craig 2 months ago

@Micro Farming - yeah, could go either way really. Joyce may just be the one to wear Usyk down and finish him in the late rounds. We'll see. Can't wait to see it if/when it happens.

    • Micro Farming
      Micro Farming 2 months ago

@Craig Let's see how it goes. I agre it would be a tough fight and Usyk is the better fighter but Joyce is a much bigger man, has the best engine in boxing and the best chin. Hope the fight happens although I think Usyk wont be keen of he saw the fight saturday! May the best man win!

Been a major fan of Joe Joyce since around 2017 when I stumbled across those WSB fights.
Remember thinking wow this guy is special.
Lots of friends telling me 'lol na, too slow, he'll get sparked soon etc'.
The guy is next level. Reminds me of the 45 year old Foreman.
Ploughs forward, peppering oppenents with heavy handed telegraphed shots and takes a great punch.
He's also extremely humble and an all round nice guy.

Joe Joyce is made of seriously tough stuff, old school heavyweight with power, great workrate and a granite chin, his punch resistance is frightening yet he is humble and funny too, what a great fighter and role model!
Plenty to like and respect here, Big Joe truly deserves all his many successes to date and wish him all the best going forward from this spectacular win. Feel for Joseph Parker too though in this one, he came brilliantly prepared and fought like a True Warrior the whole 11 rounds. 👊👊💯

I said a year ago he'd beat AJ and everyone laughed at me. His timing and actual Boxing I.Q are really underrated! He causes anyone MAJOR problems. I actually thought Parker would be ahead, then get stopped late. But, I actually had Joyce 4 Rds up going into the 11th. Both lovely men and true sportsman! Bless big Joe, he's so humble and honest. That jab was constant and congratulations to big Joe Joyce.

@James Fretwell I'm not gonna knock Usyk, great boxer even though I was doubtful after his first outing at HW, which was poor. Don't think the fight necessarily goes the same way though if Usyk and Joyce do it again as pro HWs. Usyks counting down his fights before retiring now anyway and seemingly Joyce doesn't feature unfortunately.

So everyone says Joyce is slow and robotic: everyone except those who have been in the ring with him who say how tricky and difficult he is to hit cleanly, and how he never stops coming. Then you hear him talking about boxing and you realise that this guy has a real boxing IQ, and the skills to execute. He's massively underrated imo. As for the AJ fight, assuming AJ has to try to dominate as the challenger he loses every time.

I remember watching the 2016 Rio Olympics final between Joyce & Yoka and even analysts plus fellow fighters said that Joyce should've won the decision & ultimately the gold medal that day. Joyce was robbed. Joyce is a late bloomer but he's getting better every fight. This is the best version of Parker & Joe took him out. Parker is a hard man to finish. Now the Juggernaut can move forward & demand a very big fight against an elite opponent. Shane Fury said last week that Joyce would trouble any man at heavyweight. A big lump of a heavyweight that moves forward & hits hard is trouble for any man in the division.

I picked both Dubois and Parker to beat Joyce but he keeps proving me and others wrong. The Parker KO puts Joe among the HW elite. He looks slow and cumbersome at times but he is a huge powerful man, has a great chin, and is so fit he is utterly relentless at walking his man down.
He could beat anyone including Joshua and Fury.

I haven’t seen such a humble boxer like this; wow no bad words a bit strange. There maybe better humans in the world but he should be among the top 1%. Fame power and humility hardly go together but he has all 🎉

It was the most impressed I've ever been with him, last night. Just would have liked him to have turned pro a couple of years sooner.

Parker was stumped😒 he hit Joyce with everything he had and couldn't stop him marching forward. He truly is the Juggernaut. How do you stop that?!?!🤯 Hat's off to both gents. Great fight!!💯

Top bloke, top fighter. Would love to see him take on Wilder. He’s got a great chin, but he gets hit a lot and it would be interesting to see if he could withstand shots from the most ferocious puncher of our era.

Great win I’m sure many fancied Parker as I did too. Defo a juggernaut keeps driving forward at own pace heavy hands Parker felt the punches . Can’t drop hands against a heavy puncher ..great fight Joyce v wilder.

Joyce was always the favourite, it's a good test for Joyce,, my only issue is,, his hands and pace needs to be quicker,, getting flashbacks of Lennox when he was lazy with all due respect, a good win against a seasoned pro,, and to be fair,, legend Joseph Parker,, hat off👍

Against all odds ...they mocked his speed, they mocked his skill, they mocked his personality, was undermined by his own promoter (who favored Dubois over him)...they said his time was running out...but he bet on himself and came out on top. Very happy for JJ hope he got a big pay day!!

The two Jo's have both shown us that trash talk doesn't ultimately make a great fight. Arguably two of the nicest guys in boxing go toe to toe and entertain us with maybe the best heavyweight clash of the year.
Gentle giant Joe Joyce doesn't have to force being a genuine nice guy,..he just is. Take note AJ....hand out as much money as you want to passers by to atone for your post fight antics,...but it's innate, humble goodness that captious peoples hearts.
Always a fan JJ, ever since you were robbed in the Olympics. Win or lose in the future, you are a top guy as well as a top heavyweight.

I did think parker would win a UD based on his feet n hand speed but he came in way too heavy.
    Big up to Joyce.

Usik will still nest him (Parker) 10 out of 10! Too slow and no head movement. Does he believe he can ship punches like that against Fury and Wilder?

Joe silenced a lot of people with this performance,Parker never took such a beating and I don't think anyone can honestly say they thought he would be that dominant even if they thought he would win and most people didn't think he could...Joe is no hype job he is forreal...
