Pacquiao has achieved more than Ali outside of the ring. True GOAT.

Who’s watching this after the Thurman and Pacquiao fight?

    • Jessica Gimeno
      Jessica Gimeno 3 years ago

@civil service Thurman did a lot of trash talk, which did help sell the fight probably. But a couple times he said before the fight something like (I'm paraphrasing), "Even if I lose, it's okay because I still went toe to toe with a legend." True, but that's something your momma should be telling you. He said that out loud multiple times that I started to wonder if he was confident. But, yeah, Pac is a freak of nature--got power in both hands. Now, he is one of only 5 fighters in history to win titles after 40--the others include George Foreman (who praised his performance last Saturday night) and Bernard Hopkins. I'm so glad that I got to live through the Manny era.

I do believe Manny won that fight. He outboxed and landed far more punches. Just because Floyd played the defence so much that he basically ran around the ring for 12 rounds doesn't mean he was better. Manny was on the offence the whole time and boxed his heart out. Manny put on a show and won that fight.

  • Jeffrey TaΓ±o

Pacquiao even at 41 is still a big career threat to any young bloods in the division out there. But sad to say that regardless what he is saying, people can still feel that the hunger is not there anymore because of the distractions. It seems like he is the type of a veteran warrior who just cant stop doing what he loves and just waiting for someone to put him down for good. But Thurman is not the guy who will be able to do that, I honestly believe that Spence is the only one who will be able to put him in retirement for good.

Manny fought last January against Broner.. He destroyed Broner.. Are there doubts? Manny's fighting style will destroy Thurman's fighting style. These questions are just not the right questions.

  • Basil D
    Basil D 3 years ago

Although Manny did beat a prime Adrian Broner convincingly this year, I still question if Manny has what it takes to beat an undefeated champion at his prime in Keith Thurman. Thurman is much better and stronger than Broner. Manny is old at 40. This will be a test for Manny if he still can beat a young champion at his prime. However, the Manny of 2008 will beat Thurman hands down but since he's now 40, I'm not so sure. Manny's edge is his speed, experience and knock down power. Thurman's edge is his youth, power, and being a bigger and stronger dude. Despite the uncertainties, I think Manny will win a decision at the end due to speed and experience against future hall of famers. Like Leonard Ellerbe said, there is nothing that Thurman will throw that Manny hasn't already seen before.

People who said that Manny's having a hard time answering the interviews are obviously not paying attention & the ones who are just counting Manny's accents/mistakes of pronunciations are just jealous of his achievements, i'm not saying it's "Filo Talangka" but I thinks it's more likely is, the ones who judge more are fellow filipinos who are not also fluent on the language. I am a Filipino, living in Australia for 4 years, some people here specially the locals are very patience when theyr'e talking to non english speakers and tbh Pacman answered the question correctly, and on-point; so please if you are a Pinoy change that kind of attitude, it's rude & sickening. Nakakahiya at nakakasuka kayo!

When Fury ONLY landed a measly 13 More punches! AND got knocked down 2 times! The 2nd knockdown was VERY damaging as well!! HUMAN logic is as inconsistent as WET Cement!!

Pacquiao might lose. But I want him to win. Every time he wins, a lot of fishermen gets new boats and engines for their boats. The last time he won, he bought 60 boat engine the fishermen in the south. Before that he bought fiber glass boats for a lot of fishermen. I believe that was 200+ banka (small boats). All of it spent on his own pocket. He might be fighting because the pork barrel fund takes a long time to be released. LOL

Honestly I am a filipino citizen like pacman and all of us is favoring him to win, but we also concernd about pacman's life. When people ages 40 even for a boxer their head will become weaker. If pacman got a big or moderate hit through his head now it would be 60 percent risk... I dont care if pacquio win or lose as long the legend of the philippines is still standing looking mighty and great.
