Halloween Ends - The Final Trailer

  • Published on Sep 26, 2022
  • Halloween Ends - The Final Trailer
In theaters and streaming only on Peacock October 14
This is Laurie Strode’s last stand.
After 45 years, the most acclaimed, revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic, terrifying conclusion as Laurie Strode faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers, in a final confrontation unlike any captured on-screen before. Only one of them will survive.
Icon Jamie Lee Curtis returns for the last time as Laurie Strode, horror’s first “final girl” and the role that launched Curtis’ career. Curtis has portrayed Laurie for more than four decades now, one of the longest actor-character pairings in cinema history. When the franchise relaunched in 2018, Halloween shattered box office records, becoming the franchise’s highest-grossing chapter and set a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a horror film starring a woman.
Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.
Halloween Ends co-stars returning cast Will Patton as Officer Frank Hawkins, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace and James Jude Courtney as The Shape.
From the creative team that relaunched the franchise with 2018’s Halloween and Halloween Kills, the film is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay by Paul Brad Logan (Manglehorn), Chris Bernier (The Driver series), Danny McBride and David Gordon Green, based on characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. Halloween Ends is produced by Malek Akkad, Jason Blum and Bill Block. The executive producers are John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, Ryan Freimann, Ryan Turek, Andrew Golov, Thom Zadra and Christopher H. Warner.
Universal Pictures, Miramax and Blumhouse present a Malek Akkad production, in association with Rough House Pictures.

It’s going to be sad to see Laurie Strode’s showdown with Michael Myers come to an end but the series created one of the most legendary horror movie characters and one of the most iconic horror movie villains ever. Thanks for everything Jamie Lee Curtis and Michael of course you were the heart and soul of Halloween.

My favorite part about the movie "Michael and Me" is when Michael was observing Corey hanging out at Laurie Strode's house briefly after Michael first met Corey. The special gem about this scene is that there is no plausible way Michael would have caught up to Corey, unless he rode on the back of his motorcycle with his arms around Corey's waist; truly showing the deep bond that their friendship started out with.

The the second part of this post saying (After watching movie) took me completely out cause I had the same perspective about this Halloween Ends movie... Michael Myers was only in 10 percent of the movie... it's like they were in the middle of making a movie then remembered this movie is suppose to be about Michael Myers so let's throw him in real quick and have him kill a few people and have his sister take him out to where he can't come back like wtf now if they tried to make another Michael Myers movie, the original Michael won't be in it. It'll be someone that wants to be like Michael Myers ugh they could've done way better

All in all the Halloween films were legendary and this was a decent send off. No its not an amazing film in its own right, but its a culmination of multiple films where its nearly impossible to keep hitting it out of the park and they have to make some compromises which a true fan of the series will understand as they've pretty much done the most edgy stuff and why they want to put it to bed. Is been over 40 years!!!
I thought it was an interesting touch to bring someone else in to co-op with michael, otherwise it would have just been Michael Myers doing what he always does and they run the risk of jamie lee curtis be replaced by someone else, which is unthinkable.
They tried to do something different and they actually destroyed the body this time so without some insane clutching (ala chucky)this was the last one.
I went to see it on Halloween, but missed the first 5 mins as they put me in the wrong screen and I will seen it ONCE or TWICE more as this will be the last chance.
All in all I want to say a big thanks to the main people behind this franchise, you've done a brilliant job over the decades, especially with the last but one film, Halloween kills which was was probably the last true Halloween film you'll ever see which apart from a few woke touches was faithful and very enjoyable.
Probably the best horror franchise of all time and if you're a fan of the series, just go and see it and reward the many clever and dedicated people behind this film.

I just watched the movie last night having seen none of the trailers, and I've got to say, I did find enjoyment in it. Not perfect, but I could see what the writers were going for.
That being said, after watching the trailers I can completely understand why longtime fans of the series are upset. Because SPOILER ALERT, these trailers are pretty misleading. This is not the plot of the movie.
That being said, I appreciate the movie for doing something different. If you didn't like it, I completely understand.

Depending how this does at the box office, I'll always believe they'll find a way for Michael to come back. This is no comparison, but if ANYONE remembers the story about BOBBIE EWING on "DALLAS" , he died in the season finale the previous year. The fans didn't like that and made their voices heard. When the next season premiered, the fans were shocked to see BOBBIE appear and then laying out the story that the "WHOLE PREVIOUS SEASON" WAS A "DREAM" BY HIS WIFE !

@DuckTalesWooHoo1987 ~ You kind of said what I thought. They could have Michael chasing Laurie and his other victims in a wheelchair, using a bayonet edged cane to kill his victims. Silly, I know, but Michael's character would be in his 70's now, if he were real. It'll be interesting to see what they're planning now.

@Keam~ What I said, Keam. I mean, come on. How many different ways are they going to tell the same story? I was 10 years old when the first Halloween came out. Now I'm 54, and it's still going. Technically, Michael's story should have ended in 1981 when he got blown up in Halloween 2. They did the same thing with Friday the 13th. It kept going and going. Hopefully this really finalizes everything.

Even though it was the weakest of the new trilogy and it definately had it’s flaws, it was still a good movie. I just wished Michael had more screentime and that Allyson was in some of the final fight. 7,5/10 - 8/10 🎃
Also, I think the trailer showed way too much of the third act. That takes away a lot of the surprise. And it should have hinted more the connection between Corey and Michael instead of making it seem like it was just about The Shape.

‘I’m giving Halloween ends 2 stars only because, It’s nice seeing Laurie living a normal life. However, the Corey storyline is we’re they lost me. Mike Myers is hardly in this movie. If they didn’t have Corey storyline and had more of a classic Mike Meyers with the ending, it would’ve been the perfect ending to this franchise. I’m glad it’s free on peacock and I didn’t waste $12 to watch it in theaters. I feel bad for Jamie Lee Curtis because, she deserved a better movie.’

@Couch Potato Thats incredibly improbable. Movies cut scenes all the time. Trim them down
This trailer deliberately omits the emphasis on what could be argued is the real protagonist of the film. That’s a choice in not spoiling the intent of the movie, but it’s not inherently bad. What is bad is that it got a bunch of fans excited for a movie about a fight which takes a backseat to the real plot
What I’m saying is the complaint about these cut scenes are a non issue. Likely something to be included in a directors cut

(Honest review) Honestly probably one of the worst movies I’ve seen in my entire life. There was nothing about this that screams Halloween or Michael Myers. Nothing. If you’re looking for an honest review (and a few spoilers) keep reading. There was zero suspense to this movie, nothing to make you scared. The entire story didn’t make any sense. We went from the last two previous movies where Michael was this bad ass like he always was, destroying everything in his way. This movie he was getting his ass beat by Lori, Cory, and fuck may as well be everyone else. There was to much romance and not even a single drop of horror, we see the original Michael Myers for about 25 mins of the entire movie. Movie could have honestly been an hour max, other hour of footage was completely useless. Everything was just cheesy, not even the good cheesy. I don’t want to write to much because there is just to many things to say about this movie, which none are good. (Spoiler) Cory was shot 2x by Lori, then Lori proceed to shoot 3-4 more shots. Beforehand she called the police, her granddaughter comes home sees Cory dead, then proceeds to leave and Lori goes upstairs somewhere like nothing happened. Cops didn’t show up for a WHILE, everything was quiet like nothing happened at all. Is just dumb, whole movie is a waste of money. 40% on rotten tomato, 40% on Metacritic, and 5.1/10 on IMDb. Really unfortunate. Anyways I’m done writing lol.

I would argue that Jaws 4 "The Revenge" was better than Halloween Ends. In Jaws 4, a great white shark follows a family who leaves on a plane from Amity island in the northeast to the Bahamas, and the shark beats them there. That story made as much sense as the story in Halloween Ends.

Just finished watching the movie had to watch it again and to see that Michael is officially dead just blows my mind but I get it and respect the way to end a classic saga and for john carpenter to jump back on board to see that all 3 films made more since nothing against the other films i take a bow to them all when moment like this happens we have to embrace it i remember when the original Dracula Frankenstein and the wolfman were all done with the films because those guys were the faces of horror in those glory days of universal studios and we got Michael Meyers freddy kruger and jason the slasher kings of horror i just feel when u end a classic Legendary horror character I think it's best that Hollywood created a new generation of faces of horror we need a new character that can be legendary just like the wolfman Dracula Frankenstein monster Michael Meyers freddy Kruger and jason voorhees we need another 3 new faces of horror that can also become legendary characters just like them i hope their are some good directors out there who are thinking the same and getting their pin game together because the wolfman Dracula the Frankenstein monster Michael Meyers freddy kruger and Jason already set the tone so who's gonna be the next 3 new faces of horror it's only right these new horror films are shitty im sorry we need better films like that we deserve it good horror films

    1. They spoiled some people in the movie who will die
    2. They make it seem like the movie is about Michael Myers when he is barely in it.
Disclosure, I enjoyed the film but I was initially surprised to see how much focus went into the new Character Cory.

as much as i love Jamie as an actress... this long time series need to rest for real. slasher movies had evolved into cliche films that scare no more, are filled with bad (terrible) acting and ever repetitive tropes. Michael Myers as a monster was amazing to watch back in the 80s because it was the genre that made us comeback to the theaters. Nowadays is just comedies filled with lots.. tons....TONS.. of scarejumps where people no longer cries of anxiety but laughs.

WOKE agenda & Feminism DESTROYED one of the greatest slasher films of all time. They should have stopped after Halloween 2 when Loomis blew Michael Myers up in the hospital. I have watched all the Halloween Movies and grown up with them, this was a good throw back t the riginals. Them films always introduced side characters, I liked the fact Michael was injured from the last movie. He was pulling bodies in and killing them, to try and build his strength back up. He took Corey and when looking in his eyes, saw what happened to him, then decided he could use him for his own gain. So Corey bringing people to him and building him back up, yet Corey wanted the mask and thought he would become Michael. So it built it up to a final showdown with Laurie, which is what the film was building up to. What would of been the point, of Michael running around for an hour and half killing people and chasing after Laurie. It would be pointless and nothing new, so what else was they going to do. They also killed off Michael at the end, in a way every Horror fan has alway wanted. Grind up the body, if its Freddy, Jason, Chucky or Michael Myers. They had some really good kill scenes in this and I believe it was a good twist on the story. Not sure what others wanted, if you wanted to see Michael running after Laurie all movie, then watch all the others.

Then after watching it again, I was able to pay more attention and I understood it more which made me realize it wasn’t bad at all and that it is actually pretty good. So I went from giving it a 6.9/10 to now an 8/10. Yes Michael isn’t in it for long but that doesn’t make it terrible. I would like to see more movies. Why did Michael seem weak and why kill him off like that. He died from getting his neck sliced and wrist but has been shot multiple times since the seventies. It was a great movie, but Halloween and Halloween Kills were better. Halloween kills sewed up a lot of loose ends. Great movie, but darker than Halloween and Halloween kills. Dark like Rob Zoombie Halloween II which no one understood. Halloween III season of the witch. I still think there was lots of move to work with the movie and Franchise. For example, in Halloween Resurrection Laurie was stabbed in the back a fell. That's a big missing piece, but we know she lived.

I feel like everybody's winning the battle of who can do the worst. I can't wait to see how terrible the next scream movie is. You would think it could only get better after the last one but don't be fooled. They will find a way to keep crushing great franchises then make another 2 or 3 after. And they are doing well at doing terrible. Like impressively well at doing the worst.

Very pleased that Blumhouse and David Gordon Green revived the franchise to go out with a HUGE bang and with none other than the scream queen herself.
As a die hard Halloween fan for the past 30 years, I know these were made for the fans, by fans.

@JDOG JOHNSON Milk how? The box office numbers for 2018 and Kills were $255 million and $130 million respectively. Halloween films havent performed this well since the original. Revived is definitely what happened. The director wasnt even confident that these films would perform well because of the franchise's poor track record.

it was decent only issue was it didn’t show michael enough and the fight scene was too short
